It was one of those special moments for any writer tonight.  I would have typed “The End” for my book ‘Roisin’ except that in fact it was “To be continued”.  Of course that isn’t really the end of the project: which will be ‘Saltbury Chronicles’, Book 8.  It just means that I now have a complete first draft.  There’s weeks of work to do editing and polishing, but still it’s a major landmark.  And guess what, sweet (not) little Sofie Fauld got the last word.

What I’ll actually do next is the computer equivalent of putting it in a drawer for a month while I get Book 7, ‘Sisters’ finalised for publication at the end of this month.  Hopefully that way I can come back to it fresh, sometime in April.
