I know I keep saying it, but my books never seem to want to follow the story plans I sweat blood over before starting to write in earnest. ‘History Girls’ has just passed the 50,000 word mark, which makes it about half way done in first draft, and well I suppose it’s vaguely about what I thought it would be. It’s just that it seems to be about a lot of other things as well, from cats to transgender relationships. Ho-hum, now that I’ve lost track of how it’s going to end, it will be interesting to find out.
