My next book is out 17th March.

It’s just four weeks now till my next book, ’Saltbury Tales’, comes out.  It is not quite a collection  of short stories, some of the tales are a bit long for that, but I have a number of characters that I have wanted to explore in more depth and in their own voices.

The nine Saltbury books so far have all been narrated by one or other of my two principle characters: Hazel Fauld and Tina Burns.  But ‘Saltbury Tales’ will see six new narrators.  The ‘Skipper’, tug Captain Chantel Barham, will tell us the story of her life and the reason she became one of the notorious ‘Sapphos’ ‘Dockers’.  Carol Baxter tells us about her first days at university as the girl from the backstreets of Saltbury and of meeting her infamous aristocratic first girlfriend, Loren.  Rosie Drymen mourns breaking up with her first love, Tina, and her less than happy first meeting with her true love Lexi.  Yvonne Wright tells us about her rejection of her old school bully life, of her love for Julie and her new life as stepmother to Mandy.  Doctor’s daughter, Ruth Gregory tells how a disturbing childhood dream came true in the most wonderful way, and our Hazel Fauld’s namesake and godmother, Hazel Jones, tells the story of how love brought her beloved Penny out of the fear and trauma left by childhood abuse.

The book will be uploaded to Amazon Kindle on Thursday, 17th or March, although there is usually a delay of one to three days before a new book actually appears for sale.
